كمجموعة عربية نستـشعر مسؤوليتنا الأولية لمساعدة العائلات المهاجرة واللاجئة إلى مدينة بيتسبرج للأسباب الآتية:
كمجموعة عربية نستـشعر مسؤوليتنا الأولية لمساعدة العائلات المهاجرة واللاجئة إلى مدينة بيتسبرج للأسباب الآتية:
• كناطقين بالعربية بإمكاننا توفير الترجمة اللازمة للمساعدة خصوصا أن معظمهم اللاجئين لا يتحدثون اللغة الإنجليزية، كما يمكننا أيضا تقديم المساعدة إلى المنظمات المسؤولة عن تسهيل عملية استيطانهم.
• كناطقين بالعربية بإمكاننا توفير الترجمة اللازمة للمساعدة خصوصا أن معظمهم اللاجئين لا يتحدثون اللغة الإنجليزية، كما يمكننا أيضا تقديم المساعدة إلى المنظمات المسؤولة عن تسهيل عملية استيطانهم.
• نتفهَّم بفكرٍملموسٍ الظروف والمآسى التى مر بها الاجئون. فمنهم مَن قد عانى خراباً كاملاً لممتلكاتٍ وبيوتٍ إثر التفجيرات ومنهم من فرَّ أراضيه فاقدا ذويه وكل مصدر دَخْلٍ.
• نتفهَّم بفكرٍملموسٍ الظروف والمآسى التى مر بها الاجئون. فمنهم مَن قد عانى خراباً كاملاً لممتلكاتٍ وبيوتٍ إثر التفجيرات ومنهم من فرَّ أراضيه فاقدا ذويه وكل مصدر دَخْلٍ.
• نتفهَّم مدى صعوبة إندماجهم في مجتمعٍ مختلف ثقافيا كل الإختلاف خصوصا مع عدم إيجادتهم اللغة الإنجليزية.

• وإن كنا نمتدح المنظمات المسئولة عن تسهيل عملية إستيطان اللاجئين، بخصوص توفير التسويات الأولية بشأن الأوراق ، والضمان الإجتماعي، والتأمينات، والتسكين، والمدارس ...، فما يظل اللاجئين في حاجة ماسة إلى الدعم الإجتماعي والمادي، باحثين عن فرص عمل بدوام كامل، وبحاجة لآثاث منزل وملابس شتوية ، هذا بالإضافة إلى الحاجة الملحة لتعلم اللغة الإنجليزية.
• وإن كنا نمتدح المنظمات المسئولة عن تسهيل عملية إستيطان اللاجئين، بخصوص توفير التسويات الأولية بشأن الأوراق ، والضمان الإجتماعي، والتأمينات، والتسكين، والمدارس ...، فما يظل اللاجئين في حاجة ماسة إلى الدعم الإجتماعي والمادي، باحثين عن فرص عمل بدوام كامل، وبحاجة لآثاث منزل وملابس شتوية ، هذا بالإضافة إلى الحاجة الملحة لتعلم اللغة الإنجليزية.
• فخدمة اللاجئين تطالبنا باغتنام جميع الفرص التى تساعد المهاجرين على الإندماج فى مجتمعهم الجديد كاشراكهم فى ندوات وحفلات و احداث تخص المدينة ، واهمها بل و اكثرها مرحا اشتراكهم مع جميع قاطنى مدينة بيتسبرج فى مهرجانها السنوى للجرى.
• فخدمة اللاجئين تطالبنا باغتنام جميع الفرص التى تساعد المهاجرين على الإندماج فى مجتمعهم الجديد كاشراكهم فى ندوات وحفلات و احداث تخص المدينة ، واهمها بل و اكثرها مرحا اشتراكهم مع جميع قاطنى مدينة بيتسبرج فى مهرجانها السنوى للجرى.
• نعتقد أننا في وضع أكثر حظا منهم، ليس لأننا أذكى أو أكثرجهدا فى العمل ولكن لأننا بحاجة إلى أن نتعلم كيف نعطي من ما أعطا نا الرب إلهنا، والذى نعترف أنه أكثر من ما نحتاج إليه أو نطلب. "فمَغْبُوطٌ هُوَ الْعَطَاءُ أَكْثَرُ مِنَ الأَخْذِ" (أعمال الرسل ٢٠ : ٣٥)

• لقد لجأ ربنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح وعائلته إلى أرض مصر هرباً من مذبحة هيرودس للذكور حديثي الولادة. فإنه لشرفٌ لنا مساعدة الأسر اللاجئة بقدر ما نتمنى أن تكون أرض مصرقد قَدَّمَت لمخلصنا وعائلته.
• لقد لجأ ربنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح وعائلته إلى أرض مصر هرباً من مذبحة هيرودس للذكور حديثي الولادة. فإنه لشرفٌ لنا مساعدة الأسر اللاجئة بقدر ما نتمنى أن تكون أرض مصرقد قَدَّمَت لمخلصنا وعائلته.
The Arabic Christian fellowship feels a front line responsibility to help the immigrant families and the ones coming to find their refuge in the city of Pittsburgh.
The Arabic Christian fellowship feels a front line responsibility to help the immigrant families and the ones coming to find their refuge in the city of Pittsburgh.
As Arabic speaking congregation we can provide interpretation and translation help to the immigrant families and to the refugees most of whom do not speak English. We can also provide help to the organizations responsible for their settlement.
We understand and have a tangible idea about where refugees came from and what they have been through. Many families have suffered overnight total leveling of their properties and houses by bombing and have fled their homelands enduring the separation from family members and the complete loss of income resources.
We understand how difficult it is for them to integrate in a culturally different society especially with the lack of English communication.
We understand that, even with the praised efforts of the settlement organizations to provide their initial settlement regarding all paperwork, social security, insurances, housing and schools..., the refugees remain in tremendous need for social and financial support, for full time job opportunities, for house furnishing and for winter clothing; this in addition to the urgent need to learn the English language.
Serving refugees requires us to grasp all opportunities that help immigrants integrate into their new society, such as participating in seminars, parties, and city- related events. Most importantly, and even the most fun, is their participation with all Pittsburgh residentswww.acfpittsburgh.net/refugees-ministries-for-pittsburgh-marathon in annual Pittsburgh Marathon.
We believe we are in a more fortunate situation than they are; not because we are smarter or more hardworking but because we need to learn how to give from what we acknowledge the Lord has provided us and our families, which is more than what we need or have asked for. "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his family were refugees in the land of Egypt to escape Herod's massacre of the newborn boys. It is an honor of ours to provide for the refugee families as much as we wish Egypt has provided for our Savior and his family.
