We are a congregation of individuals and families who moved from Middle Eastern countries and currently reside in the United States around the city of Pittsburgh. The majority of us grew up in Egypt, Syria, Sudan, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and Jordan, embracing the rich Arabic culture with its various traditions and elegant language.

We grew up in different social, economic and political circumstances; however mainly as a Christian minority among an Islamic majority. In common with our Islamic neighbors, we believed and worshiped One God (Allah); yet we diverged at His characters.

We moved to the United States for different reasons related to following a career opportunity, joining a family, seeking a refuge or simply realizing an ambition. As time passes, we increasingly miss our countries. Seeing the current regional turmoil, we mourn places deeply engraved in our memories now ruined, close friends from our childhood and youth now suffering or killed. It is with a broken yet believing heart that we unceasingly pray to our Lord for our countries. We pray for peace, stability, reconciliation, prosperity and that the Lord transforms and uses all Evil into the Good He plans for this region.

We come together in our Christian Arabic Church to worship together our loving Lord, the One in whom we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28) and Jesus Christ in whom the salvation of all humanity. We acknowledge God’s sovereignty, wisdom, love and control regardless of our understandings and confusion in any situation. We pray for our families, our countries and their leaderships. We study and discuss passages from the Bible declaring their truth and application in our daily lives. We share openly our opinions - sometimes conflicting - in love and compassion. During our meeting, our children also get together for a Bible lesson and for learning new worship songs. After our meeting, we enjoy gathering around Middle Eastern dinner with conversation and laughter.
